About, indeed. Going to have to work on this one, but for now, I’ll just say that I am an introvert who cares about TRUTH, grace and following Jesus. I am in the process of becoming more of who I am meant to be. I’m sick to death of high maintenance relationships, false pretenses and “frenemies”.
I love to write and find it is how I best express myself. I am married to a man I don’t feel worthy of, but is hands down my favorite person on the planet – a veritable Prince Among Men; I have two fantastic children; I weigh less than I deserve to, but still more than I’d like (my naturally high metabolism is slowing down with age).
I’m too critical of others; need more self-control; am insecure and flawed beyond words but I am not ashamed to admit any of it. Thank God I’m saved by GRACE, ’cause I’d be hell-bound on my own.
That said, it’s gonna’ get messy. Not every post will resolve itself sweetly. I hate narcissistic blogs, although I must confess I own one on another domain. Its true purpose is to keep friends and family from afar updated on the happenings of our life rather than try to persuade them it is perfect, but She Just Had To Say It gives me a forum to live “out loud” without having to worry about stepping on toes.
You will find no specific reference to my identity because I need to be myself here and there are a handful of people I don’t need to worry about offending.
For example –
- anyone from whom I need to guard my heart (Prov. 4:23);
- anyone who might be offended by my personal choices (specifically, alcohol) (Romans 14:13)
That’s me. Take it or leave it. I can’t say I’d blame you either way.
Out.
If One Thing won’t have you, as runner-up, I’d be glad to take her place as BFF. I’ll be camping at the mailbox until my prize arrives!
Thanks so much. (Oh and I’m praying all goes well with your mom coming to visit. Deep breaths!)
