Brought to you by:
Oh, and also by my husband, who generously finances my romp through life.
Just couldn’t miss out on taking him for all he’s got hosting another giveaway. It was so much fun last time! The sheer joy it brought me last week motivated my man’s benevolent spirit again this week. For real. (Dang, he’s yummy!)
It was pretty obvious what it HAD to be, the giveaway.
All things Anne Taintor. Because, ya’ know……….
So, lookie, lookie at what’s up for grabs!
Two books, a journal, a notepad, three magnets, a keychain and two sheets of stickers.
Would I lie to you, dear reader?!
You know you want this one. So do I.
There are four simple rules:
1. Go to Anne’s website and have fun poking around. If you don’t know her, you may be thinking you don’t want to take the time to go, but Listen. To. Me.
If you don’t go, you won’t ever know that you, in fact, LOVE Anne Taintor. You just don’t realize it yet.
I promise, this will be fun.
2. Under the Products menu, click on Find Your Favorite, and peruse Anne’s designs.
3. Then come back and leave a comment telling me which Anne Taintor piece is your favorite by caption. (One contest entry per reader, please.)
4. Promise you’ll come back and read She Just Had To Say It. I’m not above “buying traffic” y’all.
And VOILA – you’ll be entered to win a little bit more than, but, shhh, don’t tell hubby! $50 worth of my favorite Anne Taintor products. (I am happy to pay for shipping to U.S. Residents only. If you are outside the contingent U.S., you may enter, but need to agree to pay shipping costs via Paypal.)
As if this wasn’t enough of a big deal, y’all, Anne Taintor is READING YOUR COMMENTS!!! For real. So brag big on her, girls!
I must say this is MIGHTY BIG OF ME, dear reader. Because it is going to take all of the self-control that I don’t possess to keep from commenting a million times as “Anonymous” just so I can be the one to win the goods. Because, waaaaaaaaaaaah, I want to keep it all for myself.
Seriously, a winner (who won’t be me) will be chosen by a Random Number Generator.
Have at it, Anne Taintor fans.
And just in case you want to enter other Giveaways, click here.
But I wouldn’t know why you would, because nothing tops this prize, y’all.
I’m just sayin’.

I like the ‘domestically disbabled’ but really it was a tough call. They’re all so great in their own little ways.
Funny stuff!!! I love “What muffled screams, Officer?” I am quirky like that.
Well it will come as no surprise to YOU but I already own quite a few Taintor things… I just didn’t know she was behind it all! Never saw the site before.
Here’s my pick: ” the secret ingredient was resentment “
Well, my favorite is the flask that says “Ta-da! Now let’s have a cocktail”.
whoopsie! this link to my blog WILL work. sorry about that other one.
I like the “Because I’m the mother that’s why” item — because I AM the mother!
I love the messenger bag that says “not all bad girls wear black”. I love it! please enter me and check out my contest too!
“the secret ingredient is resentment” notepad. Yikes, I HATE cookin’ dinner sometimes!
I like the Tada! Now let’s have a cocktail. Love it!
“She thought of him fondly as ‘Plan B’”. So funny! Not that I think of my hubby that way….not at all.
I love …and best of all it comes with a matching thong..too too funny…it was hard to pick
3beez at bellsouth dot net
I’d never seen her stuff before, but I’m sold. Oh so funny! I couldn’ t pick just one favorite because they all made me laugh. I guess my top three would be:
Domestically Disabled (because I am)
Together we’re going to own your grandparents (think I got that right)
True…there were side effects (love all those polka dots!)
I have always loved Anne Taintor’s stuff, but I wasn’t able to put a name to the products until I found YOUR blog so the amazing Anne has you to thank for that! I perused her website and products days ago, before you even suggested it so as you might imagine, I am very excited at the prospect of winning some of her goodies.
The flask with “Born to be Wild” is my favorite product, but my favorite picture and saying has got to be “High Maintenance doesn’t even begin to cover it”. My husband are always telling our boys (ages 5 & 8) to avoid HM (well known abbreviation for high maintenance at our house) girls at all costs when they begin dating! Never hurts to start educating them early.
Our luck, they’ll hook up with a couple of real winners, if ya know what I mean, wink, wink!!
Anne, if you’re reading – I LOVE the section with the model bios. My 97 year old aunt was a spunky spitfire back in her day (actually she still is) and those bios just reminded me so much of her!
BTW – I’ve got your button on my blog now. I tried it the other day and must have goofed something because it didn’t work, but it’s there now!
I am newly in love with Anne, myself, and would love to have some of her
stuff. I love all of it (I know that doesn’t exactly qualify…I’ll go on!),
but my actual favorite part of her website was the stories of the women in the
pictures. I loved that some of them were still alive and got a real kick out
of being in her artwork!
My favorite sayings are : I love not camping, Old enough to know better, young enough…, Medicated and Motivated, and She could see no good reason to act her age.
So can I enter, please?!
I’ve seen these before, but never realized there were so many. I really liked “file it under ‘who cares’” and “someone called about something.” This humor is perfect for our house. Love it! Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow, what great choices:
* Think of me as a challenge
* Domestically Disabled
and
* I don’t recall asking your opinion
were my favorites I think!
OK, it’s a tie! ‘Together WE will own your grandparents” AND “Finally 40″…since I am 7 days away from the big one myself!
That was fun! Maybe you should warn your readers not to read these where loud laughter might attract attention–the other coffee shop patrons are giving me strange looks. Anyway, my favorites (can’t pick just one!) are someone was going to have to set a bad example and high maintenance doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Well, it would have to be “Guess where I’m tattooed”. 95% of the people I know would never had guessed that I wanted a tattoo. More fun, more mystery.
I am going to have to come back again because frankly, I can’t choose. They all pretty much make me giggle hysterically when I think of all the (totally innapropriate) places I could wear/use some of that stuff.
Be back later once I’ve narrowed it down!
I love the one that says: “I’m so happy it’s happy hour” That is so me!!!
I LOVE the retro designs! They are awesome!!!!
I love the one “I dreamed my house was clean” because right now I’m staring at a pile of papers on my desk and the dust bunnies are so big I think they ate my dog!!!!!
Today I am partial to “high maintenance doesn’t begin to cover it”, though it is hard to pass on “why yes, I am overqualified”.
They are all really funny.
Great giveaway!!!
I like the “funny, I don’t recall asking for your opinion” ha ha!
I like “There was nothing passive about her aggression”, “Yes, but he was her jackass”, “Honey you couldn’t handle half of me”, “Another day in paradise” & “Damn straight I keep score”.
I’d seen her work before around the web, and liked it. She has so many wonderful sayings, and I’d love to win! Thank you for the chance =)
You are right. I needed to take a look for myself. I can’t say that I had heard of Anne (with an “e”) Taintor until this giveaway. I have a friend who would love this stuff. The phrase that would best sum up my life would be “I dreamed my whole house was clean,” but I like the graphic on “Another day in paradise.” I also just love the one that says, “You’ll eat it…you’ll eat it and like it.” So many of these are really funny. I would love to be entered in your giveaway.
I love the messenger bag that says: High maintenance doesn’t begin to cover it….
I have a couple of her notebooks and didn’t know it. To know it is to be completely tickled pink! LOL! Thanks! this is great fun!
Oh dear oh dear oh dear I cannot possibly pick a favorite!! “There was nothing passive about HER aggression”? “What muffled screams, officer”? “I love not camping”?
I think “She had no intention of suffering alone” might win by the tiniest hair, however.
My gut is busted from stifling my guffaws; I LOVE Anne Taintor! She is so very irreverant and hilarious. THANK YOU for the fabulous giveaway!
Oh! So funny! I love “She was one cocktail away from proving his mother right.” I also like, “Think of me as a challenge.” Thanks for encouraging me to take a look — I’m so glad I did!
These are hilarious! I like “what muffled screams, officer!”
Domestically Disabled
I’ve seen these before, in icons. My favorite is “Maybe I want to look cheap.” Thanks for the link, I must be explorin’ now.
It was a new place for me, but I had fun perusing the site!!
Two that I can relate to are…
High maintenance doesn’t even begin to cover it
I dreamed my whole house was clean
because I’m the mother, that’s why! although there were a lot of cute ones! thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks for making me do that! She’s the artist I never knew I loved so much. Totally awesome.
I had a hard time deciding on a favorite, but last night’s dinner had more than it’s fair share of whining so I’ll go with: you’ll eat it…you’ll eat it and like it.
Thanks to you (and the Mr.) for such a generous giveaway.
http://franticallysimple.com
OH wow! I DO, I DO like the Anne Taintor stuff and I didn’t know it!
I love the ‘why yes, I am overqualified’ id case and the ‘she had not yet decided whether to use her power for good… or for evil’ messenger bag.
They both ROCK!
OMG! They’re all fabulous and hilarious!!! Love them! My fave would have to be — “of course, it would have to look like an accident”. LOL Thanks so much!!
“remeber sweetheart… mommy loves you, but she doesn’t have to like you”, haven’t we all felt this way?! Love her stuff!
wow. I have always seen those captions but never really knew who it was….so cool!!!!
My favorite is “Not all bad girls wear black”
Thanks!
palmersf(at)bellsouth(dot)net
“I love not camping” is so me.
My fave by far has to be “Together, we will own your grandparents”! LOVE IT!
zoetrope2000 at gmail dot com
YOu would say to pick just one….that should be the contest…only pick one.
so first of all,” BITE ME”, rules…what other phrase says it all so eloaquently?
Then I guess, ” an attitude is a terrivle thing to waste”
Great contest!
I love all of these. I guess my favorite it “Her proudest achievement was staying blonde”. Great giveaway!
ablkathy(at)aol(dot)com
Too funny!! My favorite has to be “Wow, I get to give birth and change diapers!
LOVE IT!
I love the one that says “Ta-da! Now lets have a cocktail”. LOL! Too funny!
jennmominva@aol.com
I just saw some of these this weekend at a boutique in Sacramento (while visiting my mom.)
I like, “I dreamed my whole house {desk} was clean”. and “Stop me before I volunteer again”.
Oh, I have seen these designs/quotes on other blogs before but didn’t know they had their own author & website!
This one suits me…”she kind of enjoyed working for an idiot”
Enter me, too!
My best friend gave me a Taintor calendar for Christmas this past year. I am sad to say that I had NEVER seen her before. My friend told me “I saw this across the store and it screamed “YOU” at me.”
She was so right. I have that calendar at work. I think my favorite is the one of the woman with the dog that say “Deep down she knew she’d settled”. It just cracks me up. My male co-workers aren’t quite sure what to say.
“I dreamed my whole desk was clean” fits me quite well. In fact, today I cleared it off and stuck it all in my closet. It can’t actually all stay in there, mind you, but it is taking a break there.
Love this line! I had several LOL moments.
Oh those were fun. My favorite is “funny, I dont’ recall asking for your opinion”. I just love it!
I’ve always loved these! The site is not working for me right now but one I’ve always liked, hopefully it was authentic, says “Make your own damn dinner”…haha! And I have a diary that says “she had not yet decided whether to use her power for good or evil”…so appropriate!
I love them all! They are so fun and hysterical! Although it’s hard to choose only one favorite, I’ll go with – “If by happy you mean trapped with no chance of escape…..” Great website, I’ll definetly be back. Thanks!
I loved them all, but especially the :make your own damn dinner” I want that on a magnet for myhusband to see every day
“She thought of him fondly as Plan B” – that will stick in my mind all day
“What muffled screams, officer” really struck me as funny this morning…I could totally hear myself saying that some days! Just kidding! Anyway, I have never heard of this site…but it is really funny! Thanks for showing it to us! I would love to be entered!
owatz(AT)telus(DOT)net

someone had to set a bad example…(luggage tag) Oh – it speaks to me, defines me, (is actually a little cooler than me, but I can handle it.) Yes, I do love Anne Taintor. Thank you for letting me know.
That stuff is totally hilarious. I love “Together, we will OWN your grandparents.” So cute. And sure, I’ll come back!
I so love Anne Taintor. My favorite line, Maybe, I want to look cheap. I wish that she had this on a mug or messenger bag. I would so buy it.
I like “and to think that I’m only using one-tenth of my brain” in a magnet… for my office
Is it seriously possible to just choose one? They are ALL so clever and well written! I am a new fan of Anne Taintor…thank you for sending me her way!
Now, which one(s) would I choose…
just file it under “who cares”
there was nothing passive about her aggression
funny, i don’t recall asking for your opinion
remember sweetheart, mommy loves you, but she doesn’t have to like you
I of course will most definitely visit again…I just adore your blog!
I love “Together We Will Own Your Grandparents,” because my little nephew really does own my parents. Forget the kids, all they really wanted was grandkids!
So funny! My favorite was “she had made yet another wise shopping decision”
SOOO hard to choose! I love “domestically disabled” and “remember sweetheart, mommy loves you but she doesn’t have to like you.” But really, they’re all great.
I don’t remember asking your opinion
and
File it under, Who Cares.
LOL….loves these!
My favorite was: Someone was going to have to set a bad example & damn right I keep score!
sjahmed(at)gmail(dot)com
The “I Love Not Camping” tote bag needs to be mine! Or, a flask … LOL!!
I’m in LOVE!
My favorite quote is, “she was one cocktail away from proving his mother right” – yes, in case you hadn’t guessed I do not live in the blissful world of InLaws that love me
Can I prove I was meant to win this prize (and read your blog, SO glad I found you!) by showing you mine…. http://beyondmom.com
Seriously, look at my style. I designed my blog. Well except for the actual images, I can’t draw like Redbook, sadly, or I’d be an artist. But my soul is crying out for this prize.
I hoist my martini glass to you True Soliloquy for bringing me to your blog as well as to you Anne Taintor, you are both amazing!
I laughed at so many of them they were so cute! I had trouble choosing just one. She could see no good reason to act her age compact is one of the many I liked.
I really liked ” what muffled screams, officer?” Hilarious!
My friends and I swap these greeting cards all the time. They are hilarious!
I love this one: #01319
they made it their strict policy never to err on the side of caution
And so many others!
I LOVE her stuff, and this is such a good idea!
My favorite is: they were so soft and tiny…
just like her ex
I’ll absolutely be back!
I love the domestically disabled!
What a fun site. They are all so unique. I like vintage and the humor is great. I like the one that says “she has made yet another wise
shopping decision. Please enter me in your delightful contest drawing.
I appreciate it…..Thanks,Cindi
They are all so great! What a neat prize. My fave has to be “Domestically Disabled” too funny!
Oh my gosh! These are hilarious. I am bookmarking this site, these are what my friends and family are getting for their birthday this year. My favorite is “funny, I don’t recall asking your opinion”.
I have to pick just one? I’ve loved her stuff for years! I really would love to see that magnetic note pad “You’ll eat it…you’ll eat it and like it!” on my fridge. Yes, I have four kids. Enough said.
Oh my gosh, I’m in LURVE!!! I had seen these around before, but never realized the artist behind them… holy smokes, I love this stuff! My top wishlist? The ID case that says “of course it buys happiness”… the magnet of a mother & baby that says “together we will OWN your grandparents”… the magnet of “you’ll eat it – you’ll eat it and LIKE it”… the “because I’m the Mother, that’s why” magnetic notepad…. AAAAAHHHHH! I can see why you don’t want to part with this giveaway package!
I like “You’ll eat it and like it.” Cute stuff.
I love the “domestically disabled” one. That’s me lol. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway, darling!
Those are so fun… I loved looking through them. One of the best sayings were “I love not camping.”
ticole96(at)msn(dot)com
Oh my gosh you were right! I do Love Anne Taintor!!! I love everything vintage and this website is amazing!!! My fave, if I have to pick just one, “together, we will own your grandparents” because it is so true about my daughter!!
“If by ‘happy’ you mean trapped with no means to escape…? Then yes, I’m happy.”
So sarcastic, so me….love it, love it, love it.
Honorable mentions:
“The secret ingredient was resentment.”
“You’ll eat it and you’ll like it.”
“I dreamed my whole house was clean.”
“It seemed like such a good idea 12 months ago.”
Does anyone notice a recurring theme here?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE her! I have the “make your own damn dinner” on my fridge!
I love the one that says “damn straight i keep score”
Hmmmm… trend there
I really like “I love not camping”.
I’ve been a fan for a long time. I love her stuff. I belong to a few forums where people use her images as their avatars. They just crack me up and are absolutely PERFECT for how I feel at any given day. This is a great giveaway. Thanks so much!
It is so hard to pick a favorite because they are just all so applicable.
Love this- “she was comforted by the knowledge that they were helpless without her”
I would LOVE to have a calendar, but didn’t see any on the site.
http://nottryingforaboy.com
nottryingforaboy(at)gmail(dot)com

“I dreamed my whole house was cleaned” is my favorite . . .but to be truly honest, I loved each and every one!! They are fab! *smile*
Thanks for the chance to win such great products!

How does Anne know me? I didn’t think I had ever met her but she has written words that have come straight from my mouth.
Especially “High maintenance doesn’t even begin to cover it.”
Thank you for hosting this giveaway.

What a great site. I love remember sweetheart… mommy loves you, but she doesn’t have to like you
“and to think that I’m only using one-tenth of my brain”—LOVE IT.
The one I identify with most is “I dreamed my whole house was clean.” Now that would really be a dream for me. I also like, “Another day in paradise.” Third, I like “You’ll like it, you’ll like it and you’ll eat it.” I enjoyed reading about the models who posed for some of these ads.
Ooh, “Remember, Sweetheart, mommy has to love you but she doesn’t have to like you” is awesome for my vexing 4 year old…but “Do the words gifted and talented mean anything to you” is more versatile. And so is “She had no intention of suffering alone.” Tough call.
come enter my giveaways, too…
My favorite by far is “she was one cocktail away from proving his mother right” Love it!
I will definately be back. Saved you in my favorites.
jenn rasberryswrlgirl @ hotmail.com

I like “this is what happens when you fire all the servants” – perfect for my house! tonaly at gmail.com
I have heard of Anne Taintor and I love her work! I love the ones that seem to apply to me the best (so many do though) but I am partial to “medicated and motivated”. Oh please, I know exactly what mother’s little helper really is.
I have to say I was quite amused by her captions. Very witty.
My fave is “She thought of him fondly as ‘Plan B’”.
I like the “someone called about something”. Sounds like the phone messages I get from my 16yo son!
I thought I wouldn’t like these.. OMG.. I’m in love! I can’t have enough of these!!
So far I love the one that says
“not all bad girls wear black”
So True…
These are so hilarious! I think my favorites is:
“tadaa! now let’s have a cocktail…”
That sounds like my life.
Thanks for the giveaway!
dburdenbates (at) gmail (dot) com
I thought several were funny, but I want to buy the magnet that says “I love not camping!” Oh, my family would KNOW it was me.
My fav is “it would, of course, have to look like an accident”. That is too funny. Thanks for the link to her site. I just might order some things.
I think domestically disabled describes me
My friends and I pass these around gleefully.. We have “why yes, i a AM overqualified”
heh
I like, “She had no intention of suffering alone”
*smirk*
LOL – These are really great!!! Today I’m liking the “remember sweetheart, mommy loves you but she doesn’t have to like you” magnet! Ohhhhh, so true sometimes. Great giveaway – I’d love to win! Thanks and please enter mine, too!
It was a tough choice, but I’m going with:
“she was one frozen entree away from a nervous breakdown”
Oh you have no idea how close…..
Thanks for the opportunity to enter your giveaway!
Thank you for the awesome giveaway! Anne Taintor rocks! “Make your own damn dinner!” is my number one favorite!
I LOVE Anne Taintor! I used to get the twelve-month calendar every year, but haven’t been able to find it for the past couple of years. I have gobs of the magnets, and I think my favorite of what I already have is “Make your own damn dinner”. That, or “It’s so involved being me”, because my son is blond and blue-eyed like the baby on that one, and that’s totally him to a T.
From the site – it’s a toss-up between “Do the words gifted and talented mean anything to you?” and “Honey, you couldn’t handle half of me” (I need that one on a messenger bag!).
Great stuff, and great giveaway!
Beautiful stuff…. love it.
One of my faves is: “maybe I want to look cheap” –cosmetic bag.
That was hard to pick.. I love them all…
… but after much consideration I’m gonna have to go with Tadaa! Now Let’s Have A Cocktail…
” domestically disabled” is the best because it describes me.
She has so many great products. My favorite, the magnet with “they made it their strict policy never to err on the side of caution”.
“What muffled screams officer” is great. Great giveaway! Count me in. bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love SO MANY of these. If I have to choose one I would say “why yes, I am overqualified” Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
Loved the site
it’s a hard call between Because I’m the mother or domestically disabled.
either would be great
Awesome giveaway and thanks for participating. Now I sure hope I win.
Because I’m a mother that’s why is my favorite..sometimes I find myself saying that way too often…
breastblanket (at) gmail (dot) com
I dreamed my whole house was clean…that would be a nice dream.
Working Girl Sticker Sheets ~~ what a hoot.
her proudest achievement was staying blonde; this is my fav saying. I’ve never seen these products before either.
“what muffled screams, officer?” made me laugh out loud!! So fun! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I just laughed the hardest I have all day. I think Anne Taintor is describing MY LIFE. My favorite was “if “by happy” you mean trapped with no means of escape…? then yes, I’m happy” but there were several others I also loved. If I don’t win, I’m still going to be buying things from her. Thank you so much for posting this contest so I could discover Anne’s site!
I just love the caption: “Who want’s mommy’s low-fat snack bar?” I love, love the vintage images. And the type-font that looks like fridge poetry. Everything is so wonderfully kitchy. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
